Charlie Davis

Charlie is a land manager with a background in conservation & sustainable development. She advises rural businesses on sustainable management of the natural environment.

Charlie specialises in managing partnerships to deliver change, nature markets and securing and delivering grants for landscape-scale nature restoration. She advises investors in nature-based solutions and buyers of ecosystem services on their responsibilities to communities and on reporting of ecological, environmental and social impact.

She is a technical expert in the validation and verification of projects under the Woodland Carbon and Peatland Code, with a focus on unfenced natural regeneration projects.

Charlie manages the relationship between Corrour and the University of St Andrews following the establishment of their 100-year research and sustainability partnership.

Charlie has also supported the Scottish Land Commission on the role of land management to provide sustainable economic outcomes for Scotland’s rural communities, and sits on the Board of Trustees for Highland Perthshire Community Land Trust.

Nominated by her clients, Charlie was a finalist in Scottish Land & Estates 2024 Helping it Happen Awards in the Rural Rising Star category.

William Hawes

William is a land manager and chartered rural surveyor specialising in natural capital, with nearly 20 years’ experience supporting both private and institutional landowners across Scotland in the strategic management of their land and property.

William supports farms and estates to finance regenerative and integrated land management and is experienced contracting for the trading of ecosystem services.

William is also the Durrell Wildlife and Conservation Trust’s Programme Director in Scotland where he oversees the rewilding of their Dalnacardoch estate.
